Government-Funded Internship Program – Hire Interns for Ramadan!

Siraj Institute is excited to announce that we have secured 20+ paid internships through federal government funding. This initiative allows Islamic organizations, businesses, and non-profits to hire interns at zero cost while providing valuable work experience to Muslim students.

Internship Details
- Each organization is entitled to two internships.
- Each internship provides $1,400 in funding for 60 hours of work within 30 days (March 1–30, 2025).
- Internships can be split into 2, 3, or 4 roles, allowing multiple students to contribute.
- Ideal for Ramadan-related tasks, such as event coordination, Friday collections, and fundraising dinners.
Eligibility Criteria for Interns
✔ Must be a full-time postsecondary student (any age, degree, or specialization).
❌ Cannot be an international student or foreign worker (SINs starting with 9 are ineligible).
✔ Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person.
How to Apply
📌 Step 1: Choose Your Level of Support
- $250 – You handle hiring (we can provide a list of candidates and you do the screening, or you bring your own candidates)
- $400 – We handle hiring, screening, and oversight.
- FREE – For organizations with an existing service agreement with Siraj Institute.
📌 Step 2: Secure Your Funding
- Payment covers up to eight interns per organization.
- Fees must be paid in advance to confirm participation.
- Refunds available if funding is depleted or errors occur on our side.
📌 Step 3: Submit Your Application
- Send your name, contacts, role and organization’s name to: [email protected] or +1 (613) 800-0228 (we’re also on Whatsapp!)
- Make your payment at our Payment Portal
(Important: Please specify “Internship Program” in the custom payment reason.) - No need to submit an online application!
⏳ Deadline for Applications: January 30, 2025 DEADLINE EXTENDED: 200 more organizations will be accepted on first come first served basis.

Refund Policy
- If funding is depleted or an error occurs on our side, you will receive a full refund.
- If an error on your side leads to an expired grant, a refund will only be available if we had notified you in advance.
- Any reasonable costs incurred by Siraj in submitting your grant will be deducted from the refund.
